Isenzo sakho

South African artist Sgedlemba presents “Isenzo Sakho,” a project that carries a powerful and deeply expressive isiZulu title. The album name, which can be understood as “your action” or “what you have done,” immediately creates curiosity about the story, experiences, and emotions explored throughout the project.

Known for music rooted in South African storytelling and local-language expression, Sgedlemba uses Isenzo Sakho as another opportunity to connect with listeners through themes that can be drawn from everyday life, relationships, personal experiences, and the consequences of people's actions.

The title itself feels conversational and direct. “Isenzo Sakho” can refer to an action that has affected another person, whether positively or negatively. This gives the project a broad emotional foundation and allows listeners to interpret the music through their own experiences.
