South African Maskandi artist Gqibu has officially released his latest album, Hit Delivery, a nine-track project that further establishes his presence in the contemporary Maskandi scene. Released on September 7, 2026, the album runs for approximately 32 minutes and brings together traditional influences, expressive songwriting and a modern production approach. The project arrives as the latest album in Gqibu’s growing discography, following releases such as IMVUNGE YEMIYEZANE and I charger.

Hit Delivery presents a compact but varied collection of songs, beginning with “Isinanqa” and moving through tracks including “Ngaqoma utshwala,” “Monday to Friday,” “Emathuneni,” and the album’s title track, “Hit Delivery.” The project continues with “Ngigqoziseni Bafazi,” “Emzabalazweni,” “TLB,” and “Iphushe mtanami.” The album’s official tracklist also highlights several collaborations, giving Gqibu room to explore different vocal textures and creative perspectives within the Maskandi sound.

Among the featured contributors are Shenge wasehlalaNkosi, Madlala, Tsheke, Vivi, Zandlezinhle, and Mbilobomvu Inyosi. These collaborations add another dimension to the album while maintaining the cultural character associated with Maskandi music. Songs such as “Emathuneni” featuring Madlala and Tsheke, “Ngigqoziseni Bafazi” featuring Vivi, and “Emzabalazweni” featuring Zandlezinhle help make the project feel like a broad showcase of Gqibu’s musical direction.

With Hit Delivery, Gqibu delivers a focused Maskandi project that balances short, direct compositions with fuller collaborative performances. The nine-song album gives listeners an accessible introduction to his current sound while reinforcing his place among the artists contributing to the ongoing evolution of South African Maskandi. For fans following new Maskandi releases in 2026, Hit Delivery is a project worth adding to the listening queue.
